One Stop in Hatfield is set to be replaced by Tesco Express by next month.
The retail convenience store shut its doors earlier in May. Tesco Express will "likely open in late June 2023".
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We’re excited to be planning a new Express store in Hatfield, replacing our One Stop store.

"We look forward to welcoming customers to the store when it opens in the coming months and will keep the local community updated with our plans as we get closer to opening.”
This comes as part of the wider regeneration of the High View area, which includes the demolition exisiting shopping parades.

One of the newest developments in the area is the 48 one and two-bedroom properties in Hatfield Rise, by Lovell Homes, starting from £284,500.
The homes are part of the wider development which will deliver 146 properties - 37 of which will be affordable - 18 retail units, and a new green space.
The Tesco spokesperson added: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused and look forward to welcoming customers to the store when it opens in the coming months."
