A change of use application has been submitted to North Herts Council for a former betting shop.
The planning application, submitted earlier this week, relates to a property in Knebworth.
125 London Road used to be home to a William Hill betting shop, but that could be set to change.
The application is for a change of use from a betting shop to a "drinking establishment and hot food takeaway".
It was submitted by Mr R. Miah, who is listed by Companies House as a director of Knebworth Tandoori Ltd. That company already operates the Raja Tandoori restaurant at 129 London Road, directly next to 125 London Road.

If granted planning permission, Raja Tandoori could expand into the neighbouring shopfront.
The application states that after the change of use, it is proposed that the business would have eight full-time and two part-time employees.
