If you are looking for a true English country fete filled with great food, drink, music and games, with a strong vintage feel, look no further as the Lemsford Fete is back.
Taking place on Monday, May 1, from noon to 4pm, the fete will be held on the grounds of St John’s C of E School and Church.
First held in 1959, this event provides a "genuine country fete experience" which includes maypole dancing, archery, car displays, live music - including a performance from Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist Immi Davis - and a Pimms and local ale tent.

It will also feature meat and vegan barbecues, face painting, bouncy castle, coconut shy, tombola, crockery smash, homemade jams and chutney, white elephant, and a trampoline.
In 2022, around 2,500 residents attended the event, and the organisers hope to reach similar attendance this year.
Back by popular demand, the teddy bear zip wire will feature again, and children are encouraged to bring their own teddy for an exciting ride from the top of St John’s Church tower.
Paul Butler, the chair of the fete committee said: "It's a great afternoon out and a lot of people look forward to it.
"It's just a nice day to spend a bit of money, spend some time with family and just get out.
"Last year the weather was a lot better, and I don't think we can expect that this year, but it should still be a fun day out."
