A mobile CCTV camera has been installed in Potters Bar to help tackle crime in an "area of concern".
Hertsmere Community Safety Partnership has installed the mobile camera in Darkes Lanes.
The area already benefits from several permanent CCTV cameras, however it has recently been highlighted as an area for concern, so the mobile camera will help increase surveillance.

Installed in February, the camera will remain in place for three months.
After this time a decision will be made for the camera to either remain in place or be moved to another area.
CCTV cameras are part of a series of measures by the council to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour, investigate and detect crime and to help provide a safe and secure environment for residents.

Valerie Kane, community safety manager, said: “We know that CCTV can help reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, and our mobile cameras allow us to increase surveillance in hot spot areas as and when needed.
"This is just one of the many improvements we are working on, and we will continue to work hard through our Community Safety Partnership to identify and introduce measures that will help make Hertsmere a safer place to live, work and enjoy.”
