The newest Welwyn Garden City sweet shop is already off to a flying start less than a week after opening its doors.
Herts Sweets opened on March 18, when it held its grand opening in Unit 10A, Tewin Road Business Centre, Garden Court, WGC.
On its opening weekend, shop owners Dan Pickett and Kay Willson welcomed over 200 customers to the sweet shop.

Dan said: "It was really good. We sponsor SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) so the fathers that have experienced loss that are a part of SANDS United Brighton and Hove football team had also come down to the opening.
"We also had a few people ask us to extend our timings, so we've listened to that, and we are now open from 12pm to 9pm.
"We are also available on UberEATS now so there is a lot going on for our first official week."
The pick and mix tubs, which is a new addition to the store, were the most popular item to be sold as they "flew off the shelf" throughout the week, and the couple are looking to restock again.
Dan added: "Even though we are a sweet shop, we are trying to cater to everyone as we offer sugar free, dairy free, and gluten free options. We have a range, and we are looking to expand even more."
Speaking about what their favourite sweets are, Dan said: "Kay's is pick and mix or Dracula teeth, and I go through stages but it's toffee crumble for now."

Within their first week, the couple have already had enquiries to cater sweet stands at weddings and birthdays.
The shop owner said: "This was unadvertised and a nice surprise, so it is looking really promising."
Even though the store has recently opened, Dan and Kay have been working hard to keep up with the demand while "juggling family life and work life", so they will look to hire help in the near future.
"It's just a new routine for us so we are trying to keep on top of that and get used to it, but it is exciting," Dan added.
