A new recycling centre for Welwyn Hatfield is on track to open this May, following a visit to the site by councillors.
Tewin Road Recycling Centre and Depot in Welwyn Garden City was visited by members of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, including Mayor Barbara Fitzsimon and council leader Tony Kingsbury, who were given a tour of the facilities by developers R G Carter.
Councillor Samuel Kasumu, executive member for environment and climate change was also part of the visit to the multi-million pound site.

He was left impressed by the work that had been done and hopes the centre will make recycling "easier for everyone".
"It was really great to see the progress that has been made with the construction of the new recycling centre and to see the new depot in action," he said.
"Our residents and local businesses are keen recyclers and want to do all they can to help the environment.
"This new site will deliver on that by providing better facilities and better access, making recycling easier for everyone.

"The new site even has a Reuse Shop selling quality household bargains that have been dropped off for reuse at the recycling centre.
"The new depot part of the site has been operational for a while and is enabling us to operate our services more efficiently."
