The Long Arm Short Arm pub in Lemsford is set to close tonight.
The McMullen & Sons- run pub announced its closure today (March 10) on Facebook, citing the economic climate as the reason behind it.

Long Arm Short Arm pub said: "With a heavy heart, we’re sad to announce that today is the final time we will be opening The Long Arm Short Arm's doors.
"Unfortunately, in the tough economic climate and given the size of the pub, it is difficult to generate enough sales to compensate for the increased costs that we are experiencing.

"We are so thankful to all our guests who have supported us over the years, it has been a huge pleasure to welcome you and build memories together."
The current team will be relocating to sister pubs run by McMullen.
McMullen announced that "We have sold two pubs, the Long Arm Short Arm in Lemsford village and The Crown in Waltham Abbey. The Long Arm Short Arms pub will close on the date of transfer, the Crown will continue as a pub under alternative ownership."
The pub is still open today and residents have been invited to join the team for a final drink before they shut at 11pm.
