Potters Bar resident Harry Briden will be celebrating his 100th birthday this March, and hopes to receive over a hundred cards from the community.
Harry, who lives at McCarthy & Stone Mandeville Court, will be turning 100 on Monday, March 20.
The 99-year-old has lived in the residence since it opened and was the first and oldest occupant to move in.

His son Richard will be throwing a party for Harry, with family, friends, and residents of Mandeville Court all invited.
Richard said: "My dad is the eldest resident there and more importantly the first to reach their 100th birthday.
"All the staff at Mandeville Court are very keen for my dad to receive as many birthday cards as possible, hopefully well over 100 cards."
Harry worked at Enfield Rolling Mills for many years and is a life-long supporter of Tottenham Hotspur.

He is also an avid reader of paperback courtroom dramas and a keen daily user of his iPad as he enjoys watching YouTube videos and catching up with friends and family through email.
