A teenager from Hatfield was taken to hospital following an assault in the town last week.
The incident occurred in Howe Dell woods on February 20, between 4.30pm and 5pm.
The victim was taken to hospital to be checked over.
Investigating officers are treating the assault as an LGBT+ hate crime.

The victim is being supported by a specially trained hate crime officer.
Enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with information should call the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference 41/14748/23.
