Welwyn Garden City's new Burger King restaurant will officially open its doors on Wednesday, and will celebrate by giving away 1,000 of their iconic Whoppers.
Following months of anticipation, the branch in Howardsgate will welcome customers for the very first time on February 1.
As part of the opening, 1,000 Whoppers or plant-based Whoppers will be given to lucky residents as part of a one-of-a-kind ‘Whopper Wednesday’ deal.
All you have to do is visit burgerkinguk.app.link/welwyn-nro-free-whopper to retrieve a code to show to staff at the counter and claim a free Whopper.
"We know the people of Welwyn Garden City love the great-tasting food of Burger King, so we’ve listened to their requests and are very excited to bring all their favourites to their neighbourhood. Our home – of the Whopper – is their home," said Alasdair Murdoch, CEO of Burger King UK.

It was revealed back in December that the burger chain would be coming to Welwyn Garden City, when eagle-eyed residents spotted boards in the window of the Howardsgate unit that used to house Bill’s, confirming that Burger King would take over the site.
This came after 2018 rumours that they would be opening a restaurant in the town, but this never materialised.
