Traditional Scottish celebration 'Burns Night' celebrates the life of poet Robert Burns.
Events traditionally take place on his birthday (today, January 25).
The first Burns supper was held in 1801, and usually features a haggis.
Here's five locations where you can celebrate Burns Night in Hertfordshire.
1. The Wine Society, Stevenage
The Wine Society in Stevenage is offering a Burns Night dinner.
Readings including the ‘Selkirk Grace’ and ‘Address to a Haggis’ will take place.
Traditional Burns Night fare, along with neeps and tatties, will be offered.
Tickets cost £90 per person, and are available via the Wine Society's website (www.thewinesociety.com).
2. Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, St Albans
The 'Oldest Pub in Britain' will be offering a three-course menu of Scottish-inspired dishes for Burns Night.
Deep fried Mars Bars will be offered as a pudding option, whilst a Scottish quiz and an "impressive" whisky collection will also be present.
The menu, served by chef Ian Baulsh, will feature cullen skink, wild boar Scotch egg, steamed Scottish mussels and mains including traditional Scottish Haggis and 8oz Aberdeen Angus hanger steak.

3. Cowper Arms, Digswell
A Burns Night menu will be available at the Cowper Arms from Wednesday to Friday this week.
Haggis, Neeps and Tatties and whisky are all available.
Three courses and a whisky will cost £22 per person, and a poem competition will be run.

4. The Orange Tree, Hitchin
A special Burns Night menu will be offered at The Orange Tree, in Hitchin.
Live bagpipe music will be played and Scotch will be served.
The pub itself was rebuilt in 1976, and underwent a refurbishment in 2018.

5. Thompson, St Albans
Thompson, in St Albans, is a three-time AA Rosette winning restaurant.
The restaurant promises to "immerse you in the traditions of Burns Night".
Bagpipes, highland dancing and an address to the Haggis will all take place.
