A Hatfield family butchers known for its “friendly and knowledgeable service” has re-opened its doors to the public.
Bob’s Family Butchers has been serving Hatfield for over 25 years, while the current owner, Mark Burley, has been associated with the shop for over 20 years.
The meat deli opened its new shop at 4-6 Hilltop Way, High View in Hatfield on Tuesday, January 10.
Mark was joined by the Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield, Cllr Barbara Fitzsimon, council leader Cllr Tony Kingsbury, deputy leader Cllr Stephen Boulton, Cllr Tim Rowse, WHBC chief executive Ka Ng and officers.
Mark’s wife also works in the shop on a daily basis, and the family business offers an extensive range of meats, handmade sausages, handmade burgers and a range of cooked meats and pies from the deli counter.
They also specialise in cuts of meat and sauces for barbecuing with customers from around the world. 
Some happy customers on Facebook said the butchers had "great staff and quick service", while another customer said "absolutely love our weekly visits to Bob's. Fantastic quality, service & value. Buying local is a no brainer with this gem on your doorstep".
The interior of the new shop was designed by retail specialists Northern Retail Solutions to ensure easy access for all customers to the shop and its products.
Cllr Kingsbury said: "Mark and the team at Bob’s Family Butchers are well known in the local area for the quality of their products and their friendly and knowledgeable service.
"I am delighted to see how busy they have been on their first day of opening with a steady stream of customers. The layout and design of the new shop is impressive, and it is a wonderful addition to the continued regeneration of the High View area." 
Mark said: "We are really excited to have moved into our new shop which is bigger and brighter than our previous premises.
"We pride ourselves on our customer service and our understanding of what our customers are looking for. We look forward to welcoming existing and new customers to our new shop."
