Hatfield Town Council has launched two fitness groups in the town after new funding was secured.
Money from WelHat Sports and Hertfordshire County Council was used to start the groups, which are designed to keep people healthy and warm during the winter months and beyond.
One of these is Warm Up, part of the new Warm Spaces scheme, the community-led project providing a space for residents during the cost-of-living crisis.
Funded by Welhat Sports, the group is open to people of all ages and abilities, and will people keep fit and healthy, while providing a much-needed boost to community spirit.
The second group, Box More Stress Less, is a new weekly class for men, and has been co-funded by Hertfordshire County Council.
The circuit training class will feature punching and kicking exercises, provides people with an accessible session that will maintain physical strength and look to improve mental health and wellbeing.
Both groups take place at Birchwood Leisure Centre on Tuesdays, with Warm Up at 11am and Box More Stress Less at 6pm.
"This was a great example of different levels of local government working together to deliver a practical and accessible service for local residents in Hatfield," said Caron Juggins, leader of Hatfield Town Council.
