A private hearing healthcare service is set to open its doors in Welwyn after finding success elsewhere in Hertfordshire.
Bridgitte Harley will be opening The Hearing Clinic for adults and children with auditory processing disorders and patients with distressing or intrusive tinnitus, and will also specialise in fitting bespoke and invisible hearing aids.
A Radlett and Hitchin clinic were opened previously and due to their immense success, Bridgette decided to open up a Welwyn clinic at 9-11 Church Street, AL6 9LN.
After buying the property in January 2022, Bridgitte spent all of last year renovating the property in order to open in 2023.
The Hearing Clinic will be hosting an open day launch on Saturday, January 14, where the whole team will be available to meet residents between 10am and 1pm.
Bridgitte said: “This clinic’s proved to be very popular, and we were soon quite fully booked, and we needed some more capacity to see patients.
“It therefore made sense to look at establishing a clinic between North and South Hertfordshire, so Welwyn was a sensible place to look.”
Previously, Brian Bishop Estate agents had their offices in the building, but they have since moved around the corner to the high street.
Speaking about the services offered, Bridgitte said: “We are clinical audiologists, which means that we offer specialist audiological care to our patients.
“We support ear, nose and throat specialists and work closely with psychologists, GPs, educators and other professions who require our services.
“We can see children from the age of four years old. Of course, we also offer endoscopic micro suction for Ear Wax Removal. This has been a very popular service as it has become harder to obtain Ear Wax Removal in general during COVID.
“We will also have our equipment out on display on the open day and will be happy to discuss our services and answer any questions that people may have.”
