Police data has revealed that the majority of crimes reported in Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield and Potters Bar in November were violence or sexual offences.
Welwyn Hatfield North
In Welwyn Hatfield North, which covers Welwyn Garden City and Welwyn village, 378 crimes were reported, with 93 of these violent or sexual offences.
Eighty-one anti-social behaviour crimes were reported, as well as 45 incidents of vehicle crime, nine for drugs and two possession of an weapon.
Welwyn Hatfield South
In Welwyn Hatfield South, which covers Hatfield and Brookmans Park, 237 crimes were reported, up on October’s total of 215.
Sixty-three of these were violent or sexual offences, closely followed by 52 anti-social behaviour offences and 33 incidents of vehicle crime.
There were also 25 reports of criminal damage and arson, six drug-related crimes and two for possession of a weapon.
There were just three stop and searches in November.
Potters Bar and Shenley
In Potters Bar and Shenley, 273 crimes were reported compared to 236 in October.
Eighty-two violent and sexual offences were reported, as well as 41 incidents of anti-social behaviour and 28 reports of vehicle crime.
There were also 13 stop and searches, 11 for drugs and two of offensive weapons.
