A supported living property in Welwyn Garden City was burgled by a person claiming to be a window cleaner.
On Saturday, November 12, at around 9.20am, someone entered the property in Guessens Road and took a cash safe from a room belonging to an elderly resident.
When challenged, the person claimed to be a window cleaner before leaving the area.
It was later discovered that the cash safe had been smashed open.
Police have released the CCTV image of a man they would like to identify in relation to two burglaries in the town.
Detective Constable Liz Chisholm, from the Hatfield Local Crime Unit, said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who recognises the man in the image as he was believed to have been in the area at the time and could assist with our enquiries.
