There was plenty of festive cheer in Welwyn Garden City this weekend as the town’s hosted its popular Christmas light switch-on.

Viral sensations Woody and Kleiny switched on the illuminations and gave away £1,000 to a lucky audience member, after crowds had been wowed by young singer and Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist Immi Davis.

Thousands came out for the event, much to the delight of Lee from organisers Welwyn Garden City BID.

“It was wonderful to see the community come together to kick start the festive shopping period in our town centre,” he said.
