Welwyn Hatfield MP Grant Shapps has been appointed as Home Secretary following the resignation of Suella Braverman.
The former transport secretary, who backed Rishi Sunak in the leadership race and has been critical of some of Prime Minister Liz Truss' policies, was seen arriving at Downing Street this evening.

The change comes after the cabinet secretary informed the Prime Minister that there had been two breaches of the ministerial code by Ms Braverman.
The first related to the use of a personal email account and the second to the sending of a government document to someone not authorised to receive it.
Former Watford Grammar School pupil, Mr Shapps, has been contacted for comment.
