BULLDOZERS have moved in to start demolishing a Hatfield pub.
The Cat and Fiddle pub on St Albans Road West, which was built in the 1820s, will now be converted into nine flats and three houses.
A spokesman for Lodge Park developers said that building work will start in approximately two weeks time.
He said: “Demolition started a couple of days ago and we expect work to progress for a couple of weeks and then the building will start in line with the planning application.
“It doesn’t take a long time to come down but it takes a long time to tidy up after yourself.”
