A dramatic off-road police chase in Hatfield came to an end thanks to the intervention of a police helicopter.
The pursuit began at around 8am this morning (Sunday) when a vehicle failed to stop for police on the A414, in Holwell.
The rogue vehicle went off road and was lost by Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing officers, who were on patrol.
They called in the Metropolitan Police’s helicopter to catch the fugitives.
The helicopter crew (@MPSinthesky) tweeted: “Over head the Hatfield area assisting @HertsPolice searching for multiple vehicles and suspects following a vehicle pursuit.”
Two people have now been detained as a result of the airborne intervention.
At this stage it is not known what the suspects were arrested for.
