RONALD DOUGLAS HALVERSON After a long illness, born with great strength and fortitude, died at Applegarth Care Home Maidenhead on 28th June 2018. Ron, aged 89, was a lifelong member of both the Communist Party of Great Britain and the Amalgamated Engineering Union, where he worked ceaselessly to improve conditions for workers and local people alike. He was a special parent (along with our mum, Nora, who predeceased him) and we miss them both terribly. We would be pleased if you will join us in celebrating his life. The funeral will be held at Garston Crematorium, High Elms Lane, Garston, Watford, West Herts, WD25 0JS on July 23rd at 12.20. After we will then be convening at the The Black Boy, 79 Old Watford Road, Bricket Wood, St Albans AL2 3RU. Family flowers only.
