HILDA KATHLEEN HAPGOOD nee FREEMAN Born: 7th July 1929 Marylebone, London - Died: 24th April 2009 Surbiton, Surrey Married: John Noel Hapgood 1952 Watford - Divorced Surbiton, Surrey c1963 Parents Archibold H and Ellen A Freeman nee Pullen Hilda, with her sister Gladys, was evacuated to 16, Valley Walk, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth at the start of World War 2, where they lived with my parents, Cyril and Mabel Hill. I was born in July 1945, and Gladys returned to London around that time. Hilda remained with us until 1952 when she left to marry John Hapgood. About fifteen years ago I established Hilda had died in 2009, and her ex husband had registered her death. Periodically I have tried to find out about Hilda without success. However, recently I sadly discovered three male Freeman Family deaths in the Welwyn and Hatfield Gazette, all possible brothers of Hilda, Sidney H Freeman b1925 - d2010 Welwyn Garden City, Albert E Freeman b1931 d2010 at Hatfield, Ronald Freeman b1932 d2004 at Hatfield. I believe there were about fifteen siblings in total born between 1913 and 1932. If anyone reading this is a descendant of these three gentlemen or can give me details of the Freeman family and in particular Hilda, I would be most grateful.
