A stolen motorbike has been recovered in Welwyn Garden City, with police now keen to track down the thief.
Police were called at 4.50pm on Sunday, September 29, by a member of the public who had spotted a motorbike that appeared to have been discarded between Bedwell Close and Pondcroft.
PC Leighton Brown, from the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, attended the scene and found the chassis number which allowed him to contact the owner.
PC Brown said: "I would like to thank the member of the public who called in their suspicions. Enquiries are now under way to find the person(s) responsible for the theft.
"It was stolen from outside Harpenden train station between Wednesday 25 and Sunday, September 29. If you have any information about the incident, please don’t hesitate to get in touch."
