A man in his 70s has sadly died following a crash on Queensway in Hatfield, after his mobility scooter collided with a car this morning.
Police were called at around 9am to reports of a serious crash involving a car and a mobility scooter.
The ambulance service were also called.
A spokesperson for Herts police said: "Sadly, the man riding the mobility scooter died at the scene.
"His next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by specially trained officers. Our thoughts are with them at this sad time."
Queensway was closed for most of the day, with restrictions lifting at around 4pm.
