A Hatfield teenager has been arrested after allegedly dragging, hitting and throwing a dog in the town centre.
At around 9am on Friday (March 22), the 17-year-old reportedly dragged a dog by its lead in The Arcade before hitting it, dragging it again and throwing the animal.
After Hertfordshire police conducted enquiries, the suspect was identified via CCTV footage and arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty.
He remains in police custody at this time, and the dog has been seized.
