Members of the Oaklands College basketball club have rallied together to donate sports shoes for charity.
The Oaklands College Wolves Basketball Club hosted the shoe drive initiative to support Herts-based charity One Impossible Thing.
This charity gathers second-hand sports shoes and distributes them to those in need.
Club players, coaches, fans, college employees, and students all contributed to the cause, dropping outgrown or used sports shoes at designated points at the campuses in St Albans and Welwyn Garden City.
Fiona Foulkes, One Impossible Thing charity manager and founder, said: "We were delighted to receive so many pairs of sports shoes from Oaklands College Wolves Basketball Club.
"We have had sports coaches tell us that primary school students were missing out on PE lessons, as they didn't have any suitable footwear.
"So thank you to Oaklands Wolves Basketball Club for organising this shoe drive and thank you to everyone who donated their preloved sports shoes."
Along with their footwear, patrons also left inspiring messages.
One generous contributor, who donated a pair of rare pink Nike Air Force 1 trainers, wrote: "I hope they bring you as much joy as they brought me.
"They're more than shoes to me; they carry love and memories.
"I hope you enjoy every step and add many new great memories!"
